The Shipping Rate Estimator and the Dimensional Weight calculator both run their math in your browser. Type in a weight, two ZIP codes, or a set of box dimensions, and the page computes a result on your device. None of that gets sent to a server or stored anywhere on our end, since there is no backend built to receive it.
We use standard web analytics to see which pages get visited and how people move through the site. This tells us which guides need a refresh and which calculator gets used most. It does not identify you by name.
ShipCompare runs Google AdSense, which sets cookies and may personalize ads based on your browsing history. You can limit this through your browser settings or through Google's own ad settings page. A banner on your first visit lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies.
A few links on this site, including some in the footer, point to related shipping and moving tools and may earn a small commission if you click through. That does not change what you pay and has no bearing on the modeled figures shown in the calculators.
